ΦLIA (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a social platform that helps people build meaningful, in-person connections through shared experiences. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optional profile details such as a bio, introduction, profile photo, and social media links. You choose what to share on your profile.

Location Data

When you create events or search for places, we collect location data (place names and coordinates) associated with those events. We do not track your real-time location in the background.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the app, including events you create or attend, connections you make, and check-in activity. This helps us improve the experience and calculate your aura score.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the ΦLIA platform
• To display your profile to other members at shared events
• To facilitate connections between members
• To calculate and display aura points based on your activity
• To send you relevant notifications about events and connections
• To improve and develop new features

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your profile information is visible to other ΦLIA members you connect with or attend events alongside. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ΦLIA:

• Supabase — authentication and data storage
• Google Places API — location search and autocomplete

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and row-level security policies on our database. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time. You can edit your profile directly in the app, or request full account deletion from the Data & Privacy section in your settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

ΦLIA is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app. Your continued use of ΦLIA after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
